The First of, hopefully, many

As the first blog for this little piggy, I thought an introduction was in order. . .

On a dark and stormy night, off the coast of Shaw Island, my father and mother met. My father was a reckless young fisherman, and my mother a mersuidae, playing about in the waves. Shortly they were married, and not one month after that my father had a terrible accident. My poor father suffered a fatal accident while eating his morning porridge with a spork.
My mother, heartbroken decided to call on the local pond hexe to put her out of her misery. Far from that did the hexe. Instead she turned my mother, most beautiful of all mersuidae with ivory tusks the envy of all young kleines schwein der sea, into a meer ferret. My mother fled into the local wooded areas. I was born in the woods, and though my mother was now in a ferrety form, I retained those qualities dear to all mersuidae. To this day, people who knew my parents say I have my mother's tusks and my father's eyes.
We lived quite happily in the forest for a number of years, during which time, my mother met a lovely gentleman ferret by the name of Verne Whittlesea. To them my brother Jules was born, one of a litter of four healthy ferret cubs. Jules and I grew as close as brother and sister can be. There are many happy memories of us in the forest, worrying rabbits, and climbing trees (though he always surpassed me at the latter). The reason for our closeness was that of the litter, he was the only one to have retained the ancient ability of the mersuidae to change between his human and animal form.
My brother has grown up and is now a shopkeeper in Caledon, and has married his lovely wife Carricre Wind. They have a young son named Bug who is the darling of the family. My mother, alas, is no longer with us. She made the unfortunate mistake of stealing a kipper from a group of magicians (magick +10).
Me? I live alone in Caledon On Sea. For the most part I keep myself busy with dressmaking, and on occasion, sculpting. My newest project is a pet rabbit, which Sir Zenmondo Wormser is scripting. I believe the dear things will be quite marvelous.
