Brilliant Dark Victorian Bash

Since this is my first costume ball in Caledon, I felt it was only appropriate to write a little on it. The Dark Victorian ball was a dance to benifit the SLRFL. So, I dressed in my finests darkest Victorianist dress and set off for the dance...
Upon arriving in Tanglewood, I could see what looked like hundreds of little green Ts on my little map. When I got to the location that was to be where the dance was, I was a bit winded, but saw my friend Alphonso Avalanche waiting by some signs. Despite all the little markers I saw not a sole other than him. He explained that there were two ways to get to the dance above (Aha!), one to teleport, and the other to ride in his hot air balloon. But of course I would choose the latter! And I am very glad I did. Here is a picture of us (Mr Newbe Writer also was taking he senic rout with us). You can see my brother's beanstalk and Mr Mordecai Skaggs' dirigable in the background. An absolutely stunning view of Tanglewood.

Mr Avalanche delivered us safe and sound to the platform on which the dance was held. Mr Writer and I had a lovely, though brief chat about Ladie's Overzealous Gentlemen Deterents, and then we went our seperate ways to mingle.

I first came across Miss Lapin Paris.
She was absolutely stunning in a green dress.

As I looked around I saw a couple of particularly memorable outfits. Brandy Rasmusun had on a spectacularly textured Ren dress, and a stunningly gorgous avi.
Pipsqueak Fiddlesticks had on the most perfect gothic darling outfit I've seen in SL yet.

And of course, a party is not complete without its resident Jagermonster

Mr Edward Pearse was spinning that evening, a fantasic mix of deeply goth music. Here he is with his lovely wife Christine McAllister and Lady Gabrielle Riel.

Here I am, dancing madly away

Following are some of the other lovely folks there dancing their hearts out...

Though some danced more than just their hearts out. Mr Hotspur Otoole was going to pieces over the music selection.

Miss Virrginia Tombola arrived most spectacularly, on her Night Mare of a horse.

Most unfortunately I had to hurry off shortly after this, as there was some in world business I had to attend to, but here are a couple more pictures I couldn't help but add...

Would it be bad of me to say the music was so good it could cause someone to loose their mind?

One gent seemed a bit lost, but I believe he found his way later.

OMG CHICKENS!

The First of, hopefully, many

As the first blog for this little piggy, I thought an introduction was in order. . .

On a dark and stormy night, off the coast of Shaw Island, my father and mother met. My father was a reckless young fisherman, and my mother a mersuidae, playing about in the waves. Shortly they were married, and not one month after that my father had a terrible accident. My poor father suffered a fatal accident while eating his morning porridge with a spork.
My mother, heartbroken decided to call on the local pond hexe to put her out of her misery. Far from that did the hexe. Instead she turned my mother, most beautiful of all mersuidae with ivory tusks the envy of all young kleines schwein der sea, into a meer ferret. My mother fled into the local wooded areas. I was born in the woods, and though my mother was now in a ferrety form, I retained those qualities dear to all mersuidae. To this day, people who knew my parents say I have my mother's tusks and my father's eyes.
We lived quite happily in the forest for a number of years, during which time, my mother met a lovely gentleman ferret by the name of Verne Whittlesea. To them my brother Jules was born, one of a litter of four healthy ferret cubs. Jules and I grew as close as brother and sister can be. There are many happy memories of us in the forest, worrying rabbits, and climbing trees (though he always surpassed me at the latter). The reason for our closeness was that of the litter, he was the only one to have retained the ancient ability of the mersuidae to change between his human and animal form.
My brother has grown up and is now a shopkeeper in Caledon, and has married his lovely wife Carricre Wind. They have a young son named Bug who is the darling of the family. My mother, alas, is no longer with us. She made the unfortunate mistake of stealing a kipper from a group of magicians (magick +10).
Me? I live alone in Caledon On Sea. For the most part I keep myself busy with dressmaking, and on occasion, sculpting. My newest project is a pet rabbit, which Sir Zenmondo Wormser is scripting. I believe the dear things will be quite marvelous.
